What Daily Issue collects, the cookies and ad/analytics tools it uses, processing and retention, and your choices.
What we handle
The site has no accounts, logins, or comments and does not ask you to enter personal details such as your name or phone number. Device, browser, and OS information, IP address, pages viewed and time, and referrer may be collected automatically via cookies for advertising, traffic analysis, and visitor counting. An anonymous visitor identifier stored in a cookie and the visit date are used to count visitors and are not linked to identifying information. If you email us, your address and message are processed to respond.
Purpose
Information is used to serve and measure ads, produce traffic statistics and improve content, respond to inquiries and corrections, and prevent abuse and abnormal traffic.
Cookies and third-party tools
Google AdSense serves ads and may use cookies to show ads based on prior visits; you can turn off personalized ads at adssettings.google.com and third-party ads at aboutads.info. Google Analytics may be used to analyze traffic, and push notifications via OneSignal are processed only if you opt in.
Processing and international transfer
The site uses Cloudflare for hosting and Google for ads and analytics, so the automatically collected information may be stored and processed on these providers' overseas servers under their own privacy policies.
Retention
Cookies are deleted at the end of a session or when they expire. Statistics and analytics data are kept only as long as needed for their purpose, and inquiry emails are deleted within a reasonable period after they are handled.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and you can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may break some features such as visitor counting.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data.
